Free Workshop
17th April
9:30am -1pm
Organised and Run by BUSH AID
We are excited to be hosting Bush Church Aid on Wednesday 17 April for a free Indigenous Cultural Awareness Introduction.
This unique training is specifically designed to introduce you to the subject of culture and help you walk away with a new perspective on culture and the tools to better serve Indigenous communities.
Message from the Instructor Neville:
“As someone who has travelled extensively, I have encountered many people who struggle to define “culture.” They may use the word regularly, but they need to catch up when it comes to expressing what it means.
In today’s church context, it is crucial to equip oneself with the necessary skills to effectively serve Indigenous communities within the church. That’s why I am excited about this training session.
This training is specifically designed to introduce you to the subject of culture and provide you with an understanding of it. We will focus on a general knowledge of culture rather than the culture of a particular group of people. However, we’ll be able to help you explore the community culture in which you are serving.
I am confident that this training will be a transformative experience for you. You will walk away with a new perspective on culture and the tools to better serve Indigenous communities.
I eagerly look forward to being with you and helping you think through this critical subject.
Wishing you grace and peace, Neville Naden”
